Uber is aware that the needs of people are changing as a new normality is entered after two years of health crisis, that is why it has just presented a series of new functions and products to make people’s lives easier and others to contribute to the environment.

During the Go/Get 2022 event, the platform’s CEO, Dara Khosrowshahi, indicated that the world is changing and is heading into one of the busiest travel seasons in history.

Therefore, the mobility platform designed a new tool called Uber Travel, which is used to book trips for each stage of an itinerary.

According to Jen You, Head of Mobility Product at Uber, users only have to connect their Gmail account and when they have a planned trip, they will be able to see the next flights, hotel and restaurant reservations in the Uber application, so that, with just a few clicks, book trips for each planned stop.

Additionally, those who use this feature will be able to earn 10% in Uber Cash for each trip they book. At the moment, Uber Travel is only available in the United States and will begin to reach other countries later, for example, in Canada in the coming weeks and in the United Kingdom in the summer.

Another innovation is Uber Charter, a feature designed for those who travel with many people because it allows booking a party bus, a passenger van, a bus and other options more easily. It will be available in the US this summer.

More options in orders

Molly Spychalski, head of Marketing Alliances in the United States and Canada at Uber, revealed that they are expanding the presence of Uber Eats to stadiums.

Those who go to Dodger Stadium and Angel Stadium in Los Angeles; Yankee Stadium in New York; Capital One Arena in Washington, Minute Maid Park in Houston, PayPal Park in San Jose and Roazhon Park in Rennes, France, will be able to use the app to order food without having to wait in line.

Additionally, the Uber Eats app is now compatible with the Google Assistant, so orders can only be placed using voice commands.

Sachin Kansal, Vice President of Product at Uber, revealed that one of the company’s missions is to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles. Proof of this is that, last year, they allied with Hertz so that driving partners had the option of renting a Tesla.

This alliance has a plan to put 50,000 Tesla on the road by 2023 and now we are excited to introduce Uber Comfort Electric.”

This new category allows you to request a trip in a premium electric vehicle such as Tesla or Polestar, already available in Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego and Dubai, to later reach more cities.

Considering the increased use of these vehicles, the platform created the EV Hub in the Uber application for drivers. It is a space where they can get information and incentives to join.
