Almost anything with a V8 engine it’s quite interesting. Plus, who doesn’t want to hear their signature sound? We have seen these propellers in several vehicles, boats included, with some of the most striking yachts on the market exhibiting their mechanical power thanks to units that throw more than 2,000 horsepower onto the sea. However, we had not yet seen a vehicle like this eight-cylinder.
This time, a V8 engine somehow found its way into a jet ski. This gadget is courtesy of Strand Craft. Dubbed the V8 Daytona GT, they claim to be the first V8-powered jet ski. That said, there’s no real-life photo yet, but that only adds to the curiosity. The aforementioned company is no stranger to luxury marine vehicles. They are also not new to the idea of coming up with wild ideas. About a decade ago, they made multi-million dollar ultra-exclusive yachts, that is, posh hotels floating on the ocean that came with a garage.
So what are the specifications? The V8 Daytona GT has a 6.2-liter supercharged engine under her elegant skin. Strand Craft didn’t mention any horsepower or peak torque figures, but a minimum of 600 horses should be a safe bet. Maximum speed? Again, it’s not mentioned, but it’s probably as fast as you dare to sail the seas. Additionally, the company will even offer a V8 turbodiesel option.
Numbers aside, these are the standard features of the V8 Daytona GT. There’s a storage box up front, along with a battery switch, an under-seat cooler, and even a premium sound system. Also included is a 15-inch touch screen that monitors all engine functions and includes the stereo interface. Other options include wood inlay, teak deck, underwater camera and many more. We think one option you’ll need is a shock-absorbing seat, especially if you run into choppy water while riding. unleash so much power.
