Sam Raimi doesn't rule out directing a new Spider-Man movie, but on one condition

Recently, sam raimi made his return to the big screen with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madnessthe latest installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which follows the new solo adventure of Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) alongside Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen).

However, long before joining the MCU, Raimi had already kicked off the superhero genre with the first trilogy of spider-man. The first live-action installment of the arachnid superhero was released in 2002 with Tobey Maguire of protagonist. This film had two sequels: Spider-Man 2which premiered in 2004, and Spider-Man 3which debuted in 2007. A fourth film was in development but a dispute between the director and Sony Pictures led to the cancellation of the franchise.
