After the success of the summer season throughout the country, the Government is preparing to launch the third edition of the pre-tripthe tourist promotion program that encourages the advance purchase of tourist services through a credit return of 50% of what was spent.
According to Infobae learned, the Ministry of Tourism, led by Matthias Lammensprepare the third edition of the program to start using from Augustsince Previaje 3 plans to boost national tourism during the mid-season, before the 2022-2023 summer.
The program returns 50% of what was spent on advance purchases in tourism in the form of a credit (extends to 70 percent for PAMI retirees), which will serve to be spent again on more services of the tourist chain. In general, the Prevoyage 3 will work the same as its two previous editions.confirmed official sources.
Although for now it is only known that it can be used to travel from August, there are several key points that travelers who want to take advantage of the benefit should know by the time the program is launched. Thus, Infobae prepared a step-by-step guide to use the Previaje and obtain the return of the credit to be used in more tourism and finance later trips.
1 – When to travel. The first thing that the traveler must define is when he will make his trip.
The first step that anyone who wants to use the Pre-trip will have to do is define the dates. Although at the moment it is not known exactly when it will be in force, with what has been collected by this means and the official information that it will serve until before the summer, it can be assumed that it will go from August to the end of November.
When registering on the Previaje website, you will have to define the dates of the trip and the system will tell you until when you can upload the purchase and reservation vouchers, at the same time, the start date of the trip that is being purchased in advance will mark the day on which 50% of the amount spent will be refunded.
2 – Services. When you have defined the date of your trip, you must decide what services you will contract and in what way. Accommodation, cabotage air transport, travel agency services and ground transportation are the items that generate a credit for up to 100,000 pesos. While the items of car rental, museums, spas and artistic and / or cinematographic shows generate a credit for up to 5,000 pesos.
But there is an exception, because if the tourist hires the services of the second group through a travel agency, the credit will have a refund cap of $100,000, the same as the services of the first group.
3 – Beneficiaries. The tourist traveling in a group, whether with his family, friends or his partner, must define who will be the beneficiaries of the credits. The benefits granted by the program will be given for a minimum of $5,000 and a maximum of $100,000 per person over 18 years of age. Each member of the group of legal age may generate credits as long as the invoices are issued in their name.
4 – Expenses for purchases. When deciding who will benefit, you will have to see how much money you will spend for each purchase or contract. The Pre-Trip specifies that to obtain the 50% credit, the minimum accumulated expense per person is $10,000 and the minimum expense per receipt is 1,000 pesos. It clarifies that to reach the minimum accumulated expense per person, several receipts can be presented.
5 – When to use credit. When the traveler has already purchased the services for his trip and has uploaded all the vouchers, he can decide when to use the credit. The same will be deposited on the preloaded card or in the virtual wallet of Banco Nación (BNA+) from the day the trip begins. So you can make use of the money obtained on the same trip if you wish or you can save it for future trips, and you can even save it to use it in tourist establishments in your city of origin. For example, a person who lives in the Federal Capital and travels to the province of Misiones, will be able to reserve the credit obtained for his trip and use it in restaurants, cinemas or other activities once he has returned to his city.
6 – Old credit. Another key for tourists who have already made use of Previaje is to verify that they have not had any unused credit left. It is valid until December 31 of this year.
7 – Cards. Finally, it is important that travelers have some means of using the credit. They can do so through the preloaded card that works in the same way as any other MasterCard credit card, through the QR code of virtual wallets such as Mercado Pago or others (for this you must have previously attached the Previaje preloaded card as a means of payment in the app or using the QR code of the BNA+ app). In addition, those who already have the Previaje card from a past edition will be able to use it again without problems.
It is important to note that, once the credit is obtained, it can only be used in more services of all that is considered the tourist chain. Although it has not yet been defined by the Lammens portfolio, it is expected that it can be used throughout 2023, if previous editions are taken into account.
What is the tourist chain? At this point, users should know that there are many services considered tourist, not just flights, excursions and accommodation. Gastronomy, as well as theatrical and cinematographic showsamong others, are part of the chain and the beneficiaries will be able to use their credit in said services.
A hypothetical example: a couple from Venado Tuerto decides to vacation in Puerto Madryn during October, obtain about $50,000 in credit and save it on the card without touching it during the trip. Once back in “Venado”, they will be able to use it for local restaurants, theaters, cinemas and more items that are included within the chain..
And here another key aspect appears, as sources from the Ministry of Tourism and Sports confirmed long ago, tourism providers must not be registered in the Previaje to be able to use the credit in their businessesthat is to say that it is enough that they have a POS reader to receive the payments made with the physical card of the Nación bank, or have a QR reader in case virtual wallets are used.
