Since Loki officially opened the Multiverse in the Marvel Cinematic Universewe all expected to see the consequences of the arrival of Kang the Conqueror after the denouement of season 1 of the Disney Plus Series.
However, it seems that we will not see jonathan older (Creed III, The Harder the Fall, Lovecraft Territory) as the evil variant of He Who Remains until 2023 with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, a film in which the actor’s presence has been confirmed for the moment.

He Who Remains was introduced in the Loki season finale as the person behind the creation of the Time Variation Agency (TVA).who reveals to Loki and Sylvie that both he and other variants of himself discovered the existence of the Multiverses and interacted with each other to improve and help each other.
However, not all of its variants were good people, since there were several that had the intention of conquering the different Multiverses, so He Who Remains made the decision to mount the AVT and preserve the Sacred Timeline to avoid the slightest change that opened the door to its universe and its variants slipped in.
Obsessed by revenge due to everything she suffered throughout her life because of the AVT, Sylvie ignores the warnings of the One Who Remains and chooses to end her life, which triggers the instability of the universe and begins to arise the variants of The One Who Remains.
Marvel, better in movies or series?
Because of that, Loki ends up in an alternate timeline where neither Mobius nor any of the agency’s agents know Loki, discovering this stunned that now the One Who Remains has become the visible head of the AVT. seeing a statue of him, which in all likelihood is Kang the Conqueror himself.
But it seems that Kang the Conqueror will not be the only variant that we see in the MCU since, according to CBR, a new report indicates that More variants of Kang the Conqueror could emerge after his appearance in the movie Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
Plot details for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania are currently unknown, but Kang the Conqueror is expected to be the film’s main antagonist. That doesn’t mean we can’t see other variants of the character (both good and bad) make an appearance in the movie itself.
After all, various variants of Kang have made their appearance in the Marvel comics, such as Iron Lad, Scarlet Centurion or Rama Tut, with variants of Immortus (The One Who Remains) and Kang the Conqueror making their appearance in the MCU. (Although of this we have only seen his statue in the AVT, assuming that it deals with said variant, of course).
Following the latest adjustments to the Marvel Studios schedule, the film Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will be released in theaters on February 17, 2023while Loki season 2 will start filming next month.
