The story of the new film revolves around Alithea Binnie, a lonely woman, quite content with her life, who one day meets a Djinn who offers her three wishes in exchange for her freedom. The conversation between the two in a hotel room in Istanbul leads to consequences that neither would have expected.
The first preview from Three thousand years of longing shows that Miller’s vision is intact with another explosive staging, vibrant and paced like only the director can achieve. In addition to Swinton and Elba’s hypnotic on-screen presence, there are tons of mythological and fantasy imagery that anticipate a one-of-a-kind film.
