From January 7th to February 20th, from Tuesday to Sunday, we are waiting for you at Buenos Aires Playa, a proposal designed so that residents who spend the summer in the City can enjoy green spaces and share with their family or friends. friends.

Buenos Aires Playa is the first urban beach in Latin America, and it has been taking place in the City since 2009. In this new edition, you will find recreational activities for the elderly, young people, and children of all ages.

There are free proposals from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., at the two venues: Parque de los Niños (Av. General Paz and Av. Cantilo -colectora-, Nuñez, Comuna 13), and Parque de la Ciudad (Av. Gral Francisco Fernández de la Cruz 4000, Villa Soldati, Commune 8).

Each park has the following spaces: iUpiiiii Playero, Playa Kids, Urban Space, Playa Mayor, Recreational Zone, main stage, gastronomic patio and common areas.

Spaces to know

iUpiiiii Beachy

iUpiiiii comes to Buenos Aires Playa with a summer format. It is a space for early childhood, designed for children from 0 to 3 years old, which enhances and stimulates curiosity, surprise and play.

It is an area specially designed for kids from 4 to 12 years old, with games, recreational activities, sports, art workshops, reading, and children’s shows, so they can have fun, express themselves and play.

Urban space

It is a space for young people from 13 to 18 years old, who want to enjoy the summer with friends, in a cool and relaxed sector with artistic activities and content. Rap, trap, freestyle, graffiti and urban dance will be some of the genres and disciplines that can be enjoyed both in show and demonstration format as well as putting your body in classes, workshops and meetings.

Major Beach

It is an area intended for the elderly, with easy access, adequate furniture, safe transit paths and shade, where they can carry out different activities such as playing shuffleboard or bowls, taking dance classes, yoga, martial arts, gymnastics, elongation, and more. In addition, they will have a Healthy Station designed to promote well-being. These activities will be articulated together with the Secretariat of Comprehensive Welfare.

Playground

It is a space for sports and recreation for all visitors, who can enjoy soccer fields, volleyball, ping-pong and foosball. By leaving their ID, the neighbors will be able to use board games, balls, paddles and much more for free. These activities will be articulated together with the Ministry of Education and the Undersecretary of Sports.

Main Stage

A space where rhythm classes will be held daily to start the day with joy and energy. On weekends, there will be shows for children and for the whole family, music bands, humor, theater and participatory dance shows. The programming of the artistic contents is in charge of the Ministry of Culture.

Both parks will have food trucks, food stalls, kiosks and spaces with tables.

Common areas

There will be common areas to enjoy water games, sand spaces with lounge chairs and umbrellas.

Also in coordination with other areas of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires, workshops, talks and activities are held.

  • If you come by car you can park inside both parks. Parking capacity is limited, once full, only pedestrian or bicycle access will be allowed.

  • If you come by public transport, you can opt for the following bus lines: Children’s park: Lines 15, 28 (Bridge Saavedra Bridge – University City), 29, 117, 130. City park: Lines 101, 143, 150 and Premetro (Parque de la Ciudad Station).

All activities, both in the Children’s Park and in the City Park, they are free.

  • Rhythm classes for all ages. Tuesday to Friday at 4:30 p.m., in the City Park, and at 5:30 p.m., in the Children’s Park. Saturdays and Sundays at 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

  • Rap, trap and freestyle workshops, demonstrations and shows for young people. Friday at 5:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays at 3:30 p.m.

  • Musical shows for the elderly. Every other Friday in each park at 6:30 p.m.

  • Musical shows for the elderly. Saturdays at 2:30 p.m.

  • Children’s shows. Saturdays and Sundays at 4:30 p.m.
