The new Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS) is the permit that Colombians and citizens of visa-exempt countries must process, to enter one of the 26 member countries of the Schengen Zone of Europe, starting at the end of the year 2022. The application process must be carried out prior to the trip, and in the same way for tourism or business purposes.

How to apply for your ETIAS permit?

The authorization is done electronically, the process lasts approximately 10 minutes and requires the following documents:

  • Colombian passport, with a remaining validity of more than 3 months after the planned stay has elapsed. It must be biometric.
  • An email to receive approval.
  • A valid debit or credit card to pay the ETIAS fee, the value of which is not yet known.
